Rise Up: Raising Funds & Awareness

Their award-winning educational programs teach practical communication, emotional competency and self-responsibility skills to men and women in prison, on parole and probation so that they may return to society and lead productive, successful lives.
Best Friends Animal Society
Best Friends is a nationwide animal rescue and advocacy organization, with spay neuter, TNR (trap neuter return), pet adoption and no-kill programs. I will be donating to their Hurricane Relief fund, supporting recovery efforts to help reunite pets with families, help animals turned into shelters find homes, and help Houston and Florida area rescue groups and shelters rebuild and recover.
Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Policy and Research
The Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Policy and Research is dedicated to reducing gun-related injuries and deaths through the application of strong research methods and public health principles. As part of the School of Public Health, the Center examines the public health effects of guns in society and serves as an objective resource for policy makers, the media, advocacy groups, and the general public.
Americares
Americares is an efficient, accountable and highly respected, health-focused global aid and development organization. They deliver emergency medical aid and support ongoing health programs both in the U.S. and abroad. They are actively providing emergency aid to those affected by recent hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, the earthquakes in Mexico, as well as responding to ongoing crises and long-term initiatives all over the world.
